APOLOGETICS

CAN YOU DEFEND THE CATHOLIC FAITH EFFECTIVELY??

COME  TO  THE  APOLOGETICS COURSE AND  BECOME  AN  EXPERT!!

Our Lady of the Cross Parish Hall

Thursday Evenings: September 12 - October 17 from 7:00-9:00 pm

Presenter: Dan O’Driscoll

Today, more than ever, Catholics need to be able to explain and defend the Catholic faith. The world is struggling spiritually like it seldom has before and we, as Catholics, have the answer.  he answer, of course, is Jesus Christ! No matter what the spiritual and moral problems we face in our world, the Church founded by Jesus Christ has the answer. And we, as Catholics, must know our faith well enough to defend it as well as to be able to explain it to others. Understanding Catholic apologetics will allow us to do just that.

Catholic apologetics is the defense and explanation of the teachings, beliefs, and practices of the Catholic Church. Its goal is to remove objections, shed light on difficult or misunderstood matters, and ultimately help win minds and souls for Jesus Christ. Apologetics is the activity of helping people answer the question: "Why should I be Catholic?" It does so by engaging the mind to reach the heart.
